Our food distribution is serving 300 families per month. Mutual Aid for Migrants at the airport has been feeding 50–100 people lunch and dinner every day.
Many people also give of their time and donate to us without reimbursement and we could not do as much without their contributions. Thank you so much to everyone helping us sustain this work!

Total donations: $11,998.40
Total expenses: $10,770.18

Happy New Year from We All We Got SD!
Published December 31, 2022Dear We All We Got family,
We hope you have had a good holiday season with your loved ones and for those who couldn't or didn't, our hearts are with you and hold you close. As a grassroots mutual aid, we lead with love and want you to know that you always have a place here. ❤️
Looking back on 2022 has been incredible. As the Brown Building started opening up again to hold LGBTQ+ community events, we moved our twice-monthly food distributions down the street to Azalea Park to have a more direct connection with the folks of City Heights and to honor the availability and capacity of our team. We also...
Got a storage unit!
Continued as the only free food delivery aid in San Diego.
Distributed between 150 - 210 bags of food every other week!
Continued our financial commitment to the Brown Building.
Supported community members with bill pay, moving expenses, and mobility aids.
Made care packages for folks living in public.
Had our first in-person meet-up!
Thank you to all the new and continued community members for giving it your all in this mutual aid this year!
As we approach 2023, we ask that if you have the means, you consider supporting us in a sustained way by creating recurring payments on a monthly basis. Recurring payments (no matter how small) enable us to set a monthly budget and have a consistent amount of food to distribute each month. Thank you to those that are currently doing so! If you'd like to join our community network of support, please click on our donation page and click the Paypal "Make a Recurring Donation" button to submit your pledge of any amount. You can also choose the day it will withdraw.
We thank you ahead of time for your ongoing support, especially this type of sustaining support that helps us provide aid on an ongoing basis.
Again, we thank you all for being a part of our 2022 and look forward to a bountiful 2023 with y'all as we continue to grow our mutual aid!
Love to y'all,
WAWG team
Our relationship with our current fiscal sponsor is changing
Published March 7, 2022Dear Donor,
It has been nearly two years since the global COVID-19 pandemic brought our communities together in solidarity to form We All We Got San Diego (WAWGSD), a San Diego County-wide mutual aid. When the pandemic first hit, we had to move quickly. A core group of organizers and supporters like you sprang into action to provide rapid response food and financial assistance to families all over San Diego. The Center on Policy Initiatives (CPI) stepped up to be our temporary fiscal sponsor and with their support, we had access to grants and other fiscal opportunities to build the foundations of community-driven mutual aid. As a result, we now have a website and we currently share the radical healing LGBTQ space known as the Brown Building, where we operate a weekly food distribution.
Since March 2020, we have provided food distribution, food delivery, bill support, housing support, built care packages, COVID-19 testing, and found resources for thousands of San Diegans. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you!
We’re excited to enter our third year as a mutual aid community and continue doing this work, especially as we see the compounded harm and violence being done to our communities. Beginning April 1, 2022, we will no longer be a fiscally sponsored project, and will begin our next chapter as a 100% grassroots, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ organization. We are grateful to CPI for providing the initial support and partnership we needed to sustain our efforts.
Here’s what’s changing:
Beginning April 1, 2022, all donations to WAWGSD will be made here and no longer processed through CPI. This means that donations will no longer be tax-deductible, but it will allow us to direct funds more immediately as needs arise and without the restrictions that come with operating as a 501c3.
If you are a monthly donor, your recurring commitment will be canceled on March 31, 2022. If you would like to continue to support WAWGSD as a recurring donor, you can do so here.
Here’s what’s staying the same:
We will continue to keep up with weekly financial assistance requests.
We will continue our weekly food distribution at the Brown Building.
We will continue to bring in our community to discuss how we can best support each other.
We will continue to fundraise and seek support for a stable, long-term mutual aid community.
We are excited to continue showing up for our community in our new structure and we hope we can count on your continued support!
In solidarity,
The We All We Got Team
